Every year the Lancaster-Depew Soccer Club awards scholarships to youth soccer players who are graduating high school and who reside in Lancaster or Depew. As part of our mission to grow soccer in Lancaster and Depew, we feel it is important to help some of our players as they begin their college career. 

To be eligible for one of the LDSC college scholarships:

1. You must be a resident of Lancaster or Depew.
2. You must be a graduating senior from high school and will be attending college in the fall of 2021.
3. You must have played soccer for LDSC during your youth soccer career. 

Additionally, if any of the following items apply please note them in your application essay:

• You have coached for LDSC. (House league or Travel league)
• You have worked as a trainer for LDSC.
• One of your parents has made a significant contribution to LDSC as a coach, trainer, team manager or board member.

To apply for a scholarship please prepare a one page essay outlining your soccer career, involvement with LDSC and your college plans.

LDSC Scholarship winners 2020

1. Steven Blatto – plans to study Early Childhood Education at MedialleCollege or Daemen College

2. William Breski – will attend University of Mount Union to study Civil Engineering

3. Serena Brown – will attend Fashion Institute of Technology to study Fashion Business Management

4. Madison Catalano – will attend D’Youville College to study Physical Therapy and will be playing soccer

5. Jacob Cianciosa – plans attend St. John Fisher or Allegheny College and is undecided on a major.

6. Olivia Foley – will attend Nazareth College to study Nursing and will be playing soccer

7. Brianna Grazen – will attend SUNY Fredonia and will be playing soccer. She is undecided on a major. 

8. Rilley Kowal – will attend Mercyhurst University to study Criminal Justice and Intelligence Studies and will be playing soccer

9. David Lattimore – will be attending SUNY at Buffalo or Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to study Chemical Engineering

10. Riley Quinn – will be attending Buffalo State College and will be playing soccer. He is undecided on a major. 

11. Vanessa Uhteg – plans to attend SUNY Binghamton or Cornell University. She plans to major in Developmental Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience.
